The VALUE COLLECTION 204-3224 is an ER32 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other spindle tooling systems that accept the ER32 collet standard. It holds round shanks at a nominal capacity of 0.375 inches (3/8 inch) and provides a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for applications where concentricity and tool accuracy are critical. Machinists and toolroom professionals install these collets to secure cutting tools, drills, reamers, or workholding stock in ER-type collet chucks.
This collet is appropriate for general-purpose and precision machining in both job shop and production environments. The ER32 collet series is one of the most widely used collet standards in metalworking, compatible with any spindle or chuck that accepts the ER32 form factor. It is suited for milling, drilling, reaming, and light tapping operations where consistent tool grip and low runout are required.
Designed for use with ER32-standard collet chucks and toolholders. Compatible with any machine spindle or chuck manufactured to accept the ER32 collet form factor.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the collet from the chuck. Seat the collet fully into the collet nut before threading onto the chuck body, and use the appropriate ER32 collet wrench and chuck wrench to tighten to a secure hold. Inspect collet seating surfaces for chips or contamination before each use to maintain runout performance.
