The VALUE COLLECTION 204-2520 is an ER25 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other rotating spindle equipment that accepts ER25 collet chucks. The collet holds a 0.3120 inch (5/16 inch) round shank cutting tool or workpiece with a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, delivering the concentricity required for precision cutting operations. Machinists and CNC operators rely on ER-style collets for their repeatable clamping force and broad compatibility across toolholding systems. The part weighs 0.09 pounds.
This collet is suited for production and job-shop environments where consistent tool runout is critical to surface finish and tool life. It is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, drill-tap centers, and manual milling machines equipped with ER25-compatible toolholders. The 5/16 inch capacity makes it a common choice for end mills, drill bits, and reamers in that shank size. It is installed by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement collet for use in any toolholding system built to the ER25 collet standard.
ER collets are installed and removed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Always de-energize and lock out the machine spindle before changing collets. Seat the collet fully into the collet nut before threading onto the chuck body, and use a calibrated torque wrench with the appropriate ER25 spanner to achieve proper clamping force — refer to the toolholder manufacturer specification for the correct torque value. Inspect the collet bore and seating taper for chips or damage before each use.
