The VALUE COLLECTION 204-2024 is an ER20 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and toolholding systems that accept ER20-style collet chucks. With a collet size of 0.375 inches (3/8 inch), it securely grips cutting tools, drills, and end mills within that shank diameter range. The 204-2024 holds a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing the precision concentricity required for accurate material removal and extended tool life. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians as part of a standard ER collet clamping system.
This ER20 collet is suited for light to medium-duty machining applications in both production and job-shop environments. It fits any ER20-compatible collet chuck or toolholder, making it a straightforward replacement or additional collet for shops running 3/8-inch shank tooling. Typical applications include milling, drilling, reaming, and tapping operations where consistent tool runout is critical to part tolerance and surface finish.
Designed for use with ER20-compatible collet chucks and toolholding systems accepting 0.375 inch shank tooling.
ER collets are installed and removed by machinists using an ER collet nut and the appropriate spanner wrench for the ER20 nut size. Always inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or damage before seating the collet. Do not exceed the recommended clamping torque for the collet nut as specified by the chuck manufacturer. Confirm TIR with a dial indicator after installation when working to tight part tolerances.
