The VALUE COLLECTION 204-2016 is an ER20 series collet designed for use in ER20-compatible tool holders and collet chucks found on CNC machining centers, manual milling machines, and drilling equipment. This collet accepts a 0.25 inch (1/4 inch) shank diameter and holds a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing the precision grip required for accurate cutting tool retention. It is a standard toolroom consumable installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This ER20 collet is suited for light to medium material removal operations where consistent tool concentricity is critical. The 0.25 inch bore size accommodates a wide range of common end mills, drills, and reamers with matching shank diameters. The ER20 form factor is one of the most widely used collet standards in CNC and manual machining, making this collet a practical stock item for toolroom management.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard stock collet for use with ER20 collet chucks and tool holders accepting the ER20 collet series.
ER collets are installed and removed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician using the appropriate ER20 collet nut and spanner wrench. Before changing collets, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state. Seat the collet fully into the collet nut before threading onto the tool holder to prevent damage to the collet or chuck taper. Do not exceed the collet clamping range for the selected bore size.
