The VALUE COLLECTION 204-2012 is an ER20 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other rotating spindle equipment that accept the ER20 collet standard. With a decimal bore size of 0.1874 inches (fractional equivalent: 3/16 inch), this collet provides a secure, concentric grip on round shank tooling. It is rated to a Total Indicator Runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, supporting accurate tool positioning in precision cutting applications. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet as part of an ER20 collet chuck or extension holder assembly.
This collet fits standard ER20 collet chucks used in a wide range of light-to-medium duty machining operations. It is suited for holding end mills, drills, reamers, and other round-shank tooling with a 3/16 inch or 0.1874 inch shank diameter. The ER20 series is commonly found on benchtop CNC mills, manual knee mills, and tooling extension systems where a compact collet nut diameter is required.
Designed for use with ER20-standard collet chucks and toolholder systems accepting the ER20 collet format. Verify chuck series and bore size before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is locked out before handling collets or chuck assemblies. Clean the collet taper and chuck bore before seating the collet to prevent runout caused by chips or debris. Do not exceed the rated clamping torque specification listed on the chuck manufacturer's documentation.
