The VALUE COLLECTION 204-1630 is an ER16 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other rotating spindle equipment that accept the ER16 collet standard. With a bore size of 0.375 inches (3/8 inch) and a Total Indicator Runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, this collet delivers the close tolerances required for precision toolholding in production and job-shop environments. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians to secure cutting tools, drills, end mills, and similar round-shank tooling during metal and composite machining operations.
This collet is suited for light-duty to general-purpose machining applications in both manual and CNC setups. The ER16 format is one of the most widely adopted collet standards in the industry, making this collet a common replacement or spare for shops running ER16-compatible toolholders and chucks. It is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers, benchtop mills, engraving machines, and similar equipment configured for ER16 toolholding.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement collet for use with ER16-standard toolholders and collet chucks in CNC and manual milling, drilling, and engraving equipment.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the spindle drive before inserting or removing a collet. Seat the collet fully in the toolholder nut before engaging the chuck body, and use the appropriate ER16 spanner wrench and torque wrench to tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque range. Inspect the collet bore and seating surfaces for chips or wear before each use to maintain TIR performance.
