The VALUE COLLECTION 201171P is a fully threaded button socket cap screw designed for mechanical and structural fastening applications requiring a low-profile head and high-strength alloy steel construction. The button head style provides a smooth, rounded top surface that sits flush or just above the work surface, making it suitable where clearance is limited or aesthetics matter. The 3/8-16 UNC thread and 0.75-inch length under head cover a wide range of medium-duty clamping and assembly tasks. Hardness is rated at 36-43 HRC, meeting ANSI/ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 standards. A black oxide finish provides mild corrosion resistance and reduces glare on finished assemblies.
This screw is used in general mechanical assembly, machine building, jig and fixture work, and equipment fabrication. The 7/32-inch hex socket drive is engaged with a standard hex key or Allen driver. Black oxide finish is commonly selected in applications where a dark, low-reflectance fastener is preferred or where light oil retention helps resist oxidation in controlled environments. This screw is sold individually per package, with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces, making it appropriate for shop stock, maintenance inventory, or production-line use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock fastener compatible with any application calling for a 3/8-16 UNC fully threaded button socket cap screw meeting ANSI/ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 specifications.
Installation is performed with a 7/32-inch hex key or Allen driver. Power down or de-energize any equipment before fastener replacement or assembly work on live machinery. Verify thread engagement and torque to the specification required by the assembly design — do not over-torque alloy socket cap screws into soft or tapped blind holes. Black oxide finish offers limited corrosion protection; apply a compatible thread lubricant or anti-seize where moisture exposure is expected.
