The VALUE COLLECTION 201069P is a 10-32 x 3/8 inch button socket cap screw made from alloy steel with a black oxide finish. The button head profile provides a low-profile, rounded top surface, while the 1/8 inch hex socket drive allows for installation with a standard hex key or Allen driver. Fully threaded along the 3/8 inch length under the head, this fastener conforms to ANSI/ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 standards. Hardness is rated at 36-43 HRC, making it suitable for applications that require a strong, compact fastener. Machinists, assemblers, and maintenance technicians commonly use this screw in panel assemblies, enclosures, and machine components where a flush or near-flush head is required.
This button socket cap screw is suited for light to medium-duty fastening applications in mechanical assemblies, electrical enclosures, and industrial equipment. The unified fine thread (UNF) 10-32 specification and Class 3A thread fit deliver consistent, snug engagement in tapped holes. The black oxide coating provides mild corrosion resistance and reduces light reflection, making it a practical choice for interior mechanical assemblies and equipment panels where appearance and moderate surface protection matter.
Designed as a standard 10-32 UNF button socket cap screw for use in any tapped hole or threaded insert conforming to the 10-32 thread specification. Verify thread fit and hole depth before installation.
Install using a 1/8 inch hex key or Allen driver; ensure the receiving hole is clean and properly tapped to 10-32 UNF before driving. Power down or de-energize any equipment before accessing fastened assemblies on electrical or mechanical systems. Do not exceed the torque capacity appropriate for the thread size and material being fastened, and inspect threads for damage before reuse. Right-hand thread direction applies, so turn clockwise to tighten.
