The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6280 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges and shoulders. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers solid wear resistance and extended tool life across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutter measures 1.375 inches in diameter with a 7/16-inch radius, a 1-inch shank diameter, and a 4-inch overall length. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide smooth chip evacuation and a clean finished edge. This mill is suited for manual mills, CNC machining centers, and tool-and-die work where precise edge profiling is required.
This corner rounding end mill is used in metalworking applications where a controlled radius is needed to break sharp corners, reduce stress concentrations, or meet part drawing callouts. Typical applications include mold and die work, fixture fabrication, and general machine shop operations on steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The TiN coating reduces friction and built-up edge, making it a practical choice for production runs as well as one-off toolroom jobs. It is a single-end tool, so the cutting geometry is on one end only.
Designed as a standard single-end corner rounding end mill suitable for use in milling machines and machining centers accepting a 1-inch shank diameter end mill holder.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle stopped and power locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully into a clean, properly sized end mill holder and torque the set screw or collet to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Inspect the TiN coating and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as a damaged edge will produce an out-of-tolerance radius and can increase cutting forces.
