The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6064 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine radius profiles on part edges and corners in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved surface hardness and heat resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 4-flute geometry provides a stable cutting action suitable for conventional milling operations on manual mills and CNC machining centers. With a 1/2 inch mill diameter and a 3/32 inch corner radius, this tool is well suited for general-purpose edge-rounding work in job shops and production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users.
This end mill is used in milling applications where a consistent, repeatable corner radius is required on steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. Typical scenarios include deburring and finishing operations where sharp corners must be radiused to a precise 3/32 inch profile. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in vertical milling machines and machining centers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle rotation setups.
Designed as a general-purpose corner rounding end mill for use in vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers equipped with standard collets or end mill holders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the drawbar or clamping nut according to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm feed rate and speed settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before engaging the spindle.
