The VALUE COLLECTION 182-6486 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges in milling operations. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool cuts a 3/4-inch radius on a 1-7/8-inch mill diameter. It features 4 right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction, providing smooth chip evacuation during profiling passes. The 4-inch overall length and 3/4-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard milling machine collets and holders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this type of end mill for edge-breaking, radius milling, and decorative profiling on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for manual knee mills, CNC vertical machining centers, and bridgeport-style equipment running standard R8 or collet-chuck setups. It is appropriate for job shops, production machining, and toolroom environments where repeatable edge radii are required. The M2 high speed steel construction handles general-purpose milling across a range of steels, aluminum, brass, and plastics without requiring coolant in many light-duty applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use corner rounding end mill for standard milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter tool holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling change procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing any end mill. Secure the shank firmly in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before beginning a cut.
