The VALUE COLLECTION 182-6254 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine smooth, consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this cutter produces a 3/8 inch radius on materials ranging from mild steel to aluminum and plastics. The 1-1/4 inch mill diameter and 7/8 inch shank diameter are sized for rigid setups on knee mills, CNC machining centers, and manual milling machines. Four right-hand flutes with right-hand cutting direction deliver efficient chip evacuation and a clean surface finish on each pass. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this style of cutter when a part drawing calls for a radiused edge rather than a chamfer.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for job shops, tool rooms, and production environments handling ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is a standard choice for edge-breaking and profile work on fixtures, dies, mold components, and general machined parts. The single-end configuration makes it a direct-mount tool in standard end mill holders or collet chucks compatible with 7/8 inch shank tooling. Both manual machinists and CNC programmers will find the geometry straightforward to set up for conventional or climb milling passes.
Designed as a standard single-end corner rounding end mill compatible with milling machine spindles and toolholders accepting a 7/8 inch round shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's setup procedures. Power down and lock out the milling machine before mounting or removing any cutter. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended engagement depth for the holder style in use, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Always apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material and observe safe spindle speed and feed rate practices for high speed steel tooling.
