The VALUE COLLECTION 182-6163 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent, radiused edges on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it operates with a 1/4 inch corner radius and a 1 inch mill diameter. The 4-flute, right-hand cutting and flute geometry delivers smooth chip evacuation and clean edge profiles on milling machines and machining centers. The 1/2 inch shank diameter provides solid tool holding in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. This cutter is suited for machinists and tool-and-die shops requiring reliable edge-breaking and radius profiling without a coated tooling budget.
Corner rounding end mills like the 182-6163 are used in general machining, tool-and-die, mold making, and production milling environments. The 1/4 inch radius profile is a commonly specified edge geometry for deburring sharp corners, reducing stress concentrations on machined parts, and meeting drawing callouts that require radiused edges rather than chamfers. This cutter fits standard vertical and horizontal milling setups and is appropriate for both manual knee mills and CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style corner rounding end mill for use in standard end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 1/2 inch shank, on right-hand-rotation milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the 1/2 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or locked out before changing or inspecting the cutter. Always follow the machine manufacturer's speed and feed recommendations for high speed steel tooling and the specific workpiece material being cut.
