The VALUE COLLECTION 15005006 is a galvanized steel round adjustable elbow designed for use in sheet metal duct systems. It provides a flexible angular transition in round ductwork, allowing installers to route air distribution runs around obstructions or change duct direction without cutting custom sections. Constructed from 26-gauge galvanized steel, this elbow has a 5-inch inside diameter and an 8-inch overall width. It is a standard trade-supply fitting installed by HVAC technicians and sheet metal workers during new construction, renovation, or duct repair work.
This adjustable elbow is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems where 5-inch round duct is used for branch runs or main trunk transitions. Its adjustable design accommodates a range of offset angles, reducing the need to stock multiple fixed-angle fittings on the job. It is commonly used in supply and return air duct assemblies connected to air handlers, furnaces, and rooftop units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 5-inch round galvanized duct systems in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC applications.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified sheet metal workers. Power down and lock out the air handling unit before connecting or modifying any duct section. Secure the elbow to adjoining duct with sheet metal screws and seal all joints with foil-backed tape or duct mastic in accordance with local mechanical codes and SMACNA standards. Do not overtighten screws through thin-gauge galvanized material, as this can distort the fitting and compromise the air seal.
