The VALUE COLLECTION 144429602020000 is a chucking reamer designed to bring bored or drilled holes to a precise finished diameter. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers consistent sizing performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0.2020-inch cutting diameter falls within the 0.2000 to 0.2499-inch decimal inch range. Six straight flutes provide smooth chip evacuation and a uniform finish on the hole wall. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly in a drill press chuck, lathe tailstock, or machine collet for stable, repeatable operation. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this style of reamer.
This chucking reamer is suited for machine-tool applications where a drill alone cannot hold the required hole tolerance. Typical uses include finishing drilled pilot holes in fixtures, jigs, and machine components where close-tolerance fits are required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional clockwise-spindle setups on drill presses, manual lathes, and CNC turning centers. The straight flute geometry is well matched to through-holes and short blind holes in materials that do not produce stringy chips.
Designed as a standard chucking reamer for use in drill presses, engine lathes, turret lathes, and CNC machining centers equipped with a chuck or collet capable of holding a straight-cylindrical shank in the 0.2000 to 0.2499-inch diameter range.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom technician should set feeds and speeds appropriate to the workpiece material before use. Always secure the workpiece and ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped in the chuck or collet before starting the spindle. Use a cutting fluid suitable for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve hole finish. Never run a reamer in reverse, as this dulls the cutting edges rapidly.
