The VALUE COLLECTION 13321G is a black malleable iron reducing coupling designed to connect two threaded pipe sections of different sizes in a single inline fitting. It transitions from a 1/2-inch female thread on one end to a 1/4-inch female thread on the other, making it a practical solution wherever a pipe run requires a step-down in diameter. Rated Class 150 with a liquid and gas pressure rating of 300 psi, this fitting handles both gas and liquid service in typical commercial and residential piping applications. The black finish is standard for gas piping installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and gas service technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This reducing coupling is suited for threaded black iron pipe systems found in residential and light commercial gas distribution lines, compressed air headers, and general fluid service piping. The Class 150 rating and 300 psi pressure capacity make it appropriate for low-pressure gas supply runs as well as water and air lines operating within rated limits. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 5 units, making it practical for service stock or small-quantity repair jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Class 150 black malleable iron threaded pipe systems with 1/2-inch and 1/4-inch NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified gas technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) or International Plumbing Code (IPC) where applicable. Shut off and depressurize the pipe system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service media to all male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as malleable iron fittings can crack if excessive force is applied.
