The VALUE COLLECTION 125-08146 is an 81-piece solid carbide gage block set manufactured to Grade AS-2 accuracy. The set covers a measurement range of 0.05 to 4 inches, making it a comprehensive reference standard for precision dimensional inspection work. Each block is individually serialized for traceability, and the set ships with NIST traceability certification. Solid carbide construction provides superior wear resistance compared to steel alternatives, extending calibrated service life in high-use metrology environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and calibration lab personnel rely on sets like this for setting comparators, calibrating measuring instruments, and verifying part dimensions.
This set is suited for use in toolrooms, quality assurance labs, and production inspection stations in both job shop and high-volume manufacturing environments. The 81-block configuration delivers the range and increment density needed to build a wide variety of stacked reference dimensions across the full 0.05 to 4 inch span. Individual serialization on each block supports calibration record-keeping and audit compliance requirements common in aerospace, automotive, and precision machining operations.
Designed as a general-purpose dimensional reference standard compatible with standard rectangular gage block accessories including holders, jaws, and scribers used in toolroom and laboratory metrology applications.
Gage blocks are precision metrology instruments and should be handled and stored by qualified quality or calibration technicians. Blocks must be wrung together on a clean, stable surface free of debris or burrs to achieve accurate stacked dimensions. Never drop or slide blocks against hard surfaces, as carbide edges are brittle and susceptible to chipping. Allow blocks to thermally stabilize to the reference environment, typically 68 degrees F, before use to maintain specified accuracy.
