The VALUE COLLECTION 1230-4237 is a 5C round collet machined from steel, designed for use in 5C-compatible collet chucks, collet blocks, and spin fixtures found in turning, milling, and grinding operations. It accepts round workpieces and provides a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.015 mm, making it suitable for applications where repeatable workholding accuracy is required. The internal thread measures 1.041 inches at 24 threads per inch, and the external thread measures 1.242 inches at 20 threads per inch. This collet is a standard toolroom consumable installed and replaced by machinists and tool-room technicians.
This 5C round collet fits a 20 mm collet size and is suited for use on manual lathes, CNC turning centers, rotary indexers, and collet fixtures that accept the 5C collet form. It is a common workholding component in both production machining and job-shop environments handling round bar stock or cylindrical workpieces up to 20 mm in diameter. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die makers, and machine shop technicians working with standard 5C tooling systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement collet for use in standard 5C collet chucks, collet blocks, and rotary fixtures that accept the 5C collet form.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool-room technicians. Before installing or removing a collet, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is off or locked out per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the collet bore and chuck body for chips or debris before seating the collet. Do not force the collet into the chuck; hand-tighten to engage threads before applying a collet wrench.
