The VALUE COLLECTION 112369806 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Conforming to ANSI Insert Code TPG323 and ISO Insert Code TPG160312, this insert features a triangular shape with a 60-degree included angle, an 11-degree relief angle, and a flat-top chip breaker geometry. The inscribed circle measures 3/8 inches, the corner radius is 3/64 inches, and the insert thickness is 1/8 inches. At 16.5 millimeters in length and 0.06 pounds, it fits standard TPG-style toolholders. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production machining, and maintenance turning applications.
This insert is suited for turning operations on steel and ferrous workpiece materials, consistent with its ISO primary workpiece material code P classification. The flat-top, positive side clearance geometry promotes clean chip flow and reduces cutting forces during light to medium turning passes. The I55 manufacturer grade carbide substrate targets general-purpose turning where dimensional consistency and tool life on steel alloys are priorities. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units, it is a practical choice for stocking in production environments where consistent insert replacement is routine.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for TPG323-style insert seats in standard clamp-held TPG toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO indexable insert standards.
TPG turning inserts are seated and secured by a clamp-style toolholder; always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use a torque wrench calibrated for insert clamp screws to avoid cracking the carbide substrate — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Disposal of carbide inserts should follow applicable shop and local waste-handling guidelines for metallic materials.
