The VALUE COLLECTION 112116536 is a solid carbide turning insert carrying the ANSI designation CNMG432 and ISO designation CNMG120408. It features a CVD-applied dual-layer TiN and TiCN coating for wear resistance and heat management during continuous or interrupted turning operations. The insert has an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 3/16-inch thickness, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The negative side clearance geometry and G-style chip breaker suit a wide range of turning applications. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert using clamp or pin holding methods on compatible toolholders.
This insert is suited for general turning of M-group workpiece materials, which includes stainless steels and heat-resistant alloys. It is used in both manual engine lathe and CNC turning center setups for external and internal diameter work where a secure, repeatable seating insert is required. The material grade C5 and CVD coating make it appropriate for medium-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for CNMG432 toolholders using clamp or pin holding systems rated for negative-clearance inserts.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before tightening the clamp or pin to avoid chatter or insert movement under load. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear or debris before installing a fresh insert edge.
