The VALUE COLLECTION 112074936 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured to ANSI insert code TPMR322 and ISO insert code TPMR160308, this triangular insert features a TiC and TiN coating applied via CVD process, delivering improved wear resistance and heat tolerance at the cutting edge. The inscribed circle measures 3/8 inches (0.3752 inches decimal), insert thickness is 1/8 inches (0.1250 inches decimal), and the corner radius is 1/32 inches (0.0315 inches decimal). The insert length is 16.5 mm. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this insert in compatible TPMR-style toolholders for turning, facing, and profiling operations.
This insert is suited for turning applications on steel and stainless steel workpiece materials, consistent with primary workpiece material codes M and P. Material grades C5, C6, and C7 indicate suitability for a range of cutting speeds and feed rates across general-purpose and semi-finishing operations. The positive side clearance and 11-degree relief angle reduce cutting forces and minimize built-up edge on ductile materials. The R-style chip breaker assists with chip control during continuous turning passes. This insert is typically used in production and job-shop environments where consistent tool life and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit insert for TPMR-style toolholders accepting ANSI size code 322 triangular carbide inserts. Compatible with workpiece material codes M and P, corresponding to stainless steel and carbon or alloy steel. Material grades C5, C6, and C7 apply.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and de-energize the machine tool before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the insert — do not overtighten the clamp screw by feel alone. Inspect the toolholder pocket and clamp for wear or damage before seating a new insert.
