The VALUE COLLECTION 101525PR is a cup point set screw designed for mechanical fastening applications where a recessed or flush installation is required. Threaded 7/16-14 UNC with an overall length of 0.75 inches, this set screw is manufactured from Grade 8 alloy steel for high tensile strength and resistance to shear forces. The 7/32-inch internal hex drive accepts a standard hex key for installation and removal. It meets ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 dimensional and material standards. This fastener is sold individually but requires a minimum order of 100 pieces. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians commonly specify this screw for shaft, collar, and pulley retention work.
Cup point set screws like the 101525PR are used in industrial and mechanical assembly applications where a screw must seat into a shaft or mating surface to prevent rotational or axial movement. Typical uses include securing pulleys, gears, collars, and sprockets to shafts in motors, conveyor systems, and HVAC equipment drives. The cup point geometry creates a circular bite into the mating surface, providing firm retention under dynamic loads without requiring a flat or keyway on the shaft.
Designed as a standard UNC set screw for use in any application requiring a 7/16-14 threaded cup point fastener conforming to ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 specifications.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a 7/32-inch hex key or Allen wrench. Always de-energize and lock out rotating equipment before installing or removing set screws on shafts or collars. Do not overtighten past the point of firm seating, as cup point set screws can deform the mating shaft surface if excessive torque is applied. Inspect the mating shaft for burrs or debris before installation to ensure proper seating of the cup point.
