The VALUE COLLECTION 0206ABPF is a No. 2 flat head Phillips sheet metal screw designed for light-gauge metal fastening applications. Manufactured from 1016/1024 grade steel with a zinc finish, this screw offers corrosion resistance suitable for general trade and mechanical assembly work. The Type AB point combines the self-tapping thread lead of a Type A with the finer thread pitch of a Type B, making it effective in thin sheet metal, resin, and light-gauge materials. Overall length is 3/8 inches. This fastener meets AISI 1016, ASME B18.6.3, ASME B18.6.4, and SAE J933 standards. HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical technicians use this screw for panel attachment, ductwork, and enclosure assembly.
The 0206ABPF is suited for residential and commercial applications where a low-profile flat head is required for flush or countersunk seating in sheet metal. Common install scenarios include HVAC equipment panels, electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and light structural sheet metal assemblies. The Phillips No. 1 drive size is compatible with standard power and hand drivers. This screw ships in multiples of 100 per minimum order, making it practical for service van stocking and repetitive fastening tasks.
Designed as a standard inch-series No. 2 Type AB flat head sheet metal screw suitable for light-gauge steel panels, electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment covers, and similar thin-material fastening applications.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and general mechanical tradespeople using a No. 1 Phillips hand driver or power driver set to appropriate torque to avoid stripping the head or material. Ensure the receiving material gauge is compatible with a No. 2 Type AB self-tapping thread before driving. Power down electrical equipment and follow lockout/tagout procedures before fastening panels on energized enclosures. Do not overtighten in thin or soft base materials, as the flat head countersink can distort the panel surface.
