The VALUE COLLECTION 01241553 is a high speed steel jobber drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metalworking and fabrication applications. Ground to a 118-degree standard point angle with a right-hand cutting direction, this bit handles a wide range of common drilling tasks with consistent results. The oxide coating provides basic surface protection and helps reduce friction during cutting. At 1.55 mm in diameter (0.0610 inches) with an overall length of 1-57/64 inches, this is a small-diameter bit suited for precision hole-making in tight tolerances. Installation and use require no special tooling beyond a compatible drill chuck. Trade professionals and machinists working in light manufacturing, HVAC fabrication, electrical panel work, or plumbing rough-in tasks will find this bit a reliable consumable for small-diameter through-holes.
This jobber drill bit is intended for use in steel and cast iron workpieces and is classified as a general-purpose grade bit. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without modification. With a flute length of 55/64 inches (0.8594 inches) and a regular spiral flute configuration, the bit provides adequate chip evacuation for short-to-medium depth holes in ferrous materials. The web-thinned, tapered web design reduces thrust requirements at the cutting tip. Coolant-through capability is not supported on this bit.
Designed for general-purpose drilling in steel and cast iron workpieces. Fits any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.0610-inch straight shank diameter.
Secure the shank firmly in a compatible drill chuck before operation and verify the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent movement. Power down and de-energize any equipment before drilling into live panels or assemblies. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling ferrous metals to extend bit life and improve hole quality. Worn or damaged bits should be replaced rather than reused to avoid oversized or rough holes.
