The VALUE COLLECTION 01-1144-12CO is a soft aluminum wire supplied in a 1,010-foot coil. Drawn to a 9-gauge diameter of 0.1144 inches, this wire is produced from Alloy 1100 aluminum and meets ASTM B211 material specification. Alloy 1100 is commercially pure aluminum, known for excellent electrical conductivity, good corrosion resistance, and high workability. The soft temper makes it easy to form, bend, and terminate without cracking or springback. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and general trade professionals use this wire for grounding, bonding, coil winding, and general electrical interconnect applications where a highly workable, corrosion-resistant aluminum conductor is required.
This wire is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a soft, formable aluminum conductor is needed. Common uses include grounding electrode conductors, equipment bonding jumpers, tracer wire, and craft or industrial winding applications. The 1,010-foot coil length reduces splicing frequency on longer runs and supports efficient material use across a variety of job sizes. The product ships as a single coil with a shipping weight of 12 pounds.
Designed as a general-purpose soft aluminum wire suitable for grounding, bonding, and interconnect applications in residential and light commercial electrical and HVAC installations where Alloy 1100 aluminum conductors are specified.
Installation of aluminum conductors should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for aluminum wiring, including proper use of antioxidant compound and aluminum-rated connectors and terminals. De-energize all circuits and follow lockout/tagout procedures before making any connections. Avoid mixing aluminum conductors with copper terminals unless using connectors rated for aluminum-to-copper use. Use appropriate wire-pulling lubricant and conduit fill calculations when routing through conduit.
