The USA INDUSTRIALS BULK-RS-E60-242 is a stock-length EPDM rubber sheet cut to 12 inches wide by 24 inches long in black. EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a synthetic elastomer known for resistance to weathering, ozone, UV exposure, and a broad range of water-based and mild chemical media. This sheet measures a Shore A durometer hardness of 50 to 60, placing it in the medium-firm range suitable for gaskets, seals, padding, and vibration isolation. It is rated for service from -40 degrees F to 240 degrees F and carries a tensile strength of 1000 psi. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly fabricate custom seals and gaskets from sheet stock like this.
This EPDM sheet is well-suited for residential and light commercial applications where a field-cut gasket or seal is needed. Typical uses include pipe flange gaskets, equipment vibration pads, weather stripping, and general mechanical sealing applications. The 12-by-24-inch format provides enough material to cut multiple standard-size gaskets or a single larger isolation pad without waste. Its temperature range makes it compatible with hot and cold water plumbing systems, HVAC ductwork connections, and outdoor installations subject to weather cycling.
Designed as a general-purpose EPDM rubber sheet for field fabrication of gaskets, seals, pads, and isolation components in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial maintenance applications.
A licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified maintenance professional should assess the application before installing field-cut gaskets or seals in pressurized or high-temperature systems. Use sharp sheet-metal shears or a die cutter for clean, accurate cuts; ragged edges can compromise sealing performance. Verify that EPDM is chemically compatible with the media being sealed, as EPDM is not recommended for petroleum-based oils or fuels. Shut down and depressurize any system before replacing or installing new gasket material.
