The USA INDUSTRIALS BULK-RS-E60-240 is a black EPDM rubber sheet cut to a 12-inch by 12-inch stock size. EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a synthetic elastomer known for strong resistance to weathering, ozone, UV exposure, and a broad range of temperatures. This sheet carries a Shore A durometer rating of 50 to 60, placing it in the medium-firm range suitable for gasketing, sealing, padding, and vibration isolation applications. Tensile strength is rated at 1000 psi. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, mechanical contractors, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly cut and fabricate these sheets to fit specific sealing or isolation needs in the field or shop.
This EPDM sheet is suited for both residential and light commercial applications where a durable, weather-resistant elastomer is required. Typical uses include custom-cut gaskets for pipe flanges, HVAC duct penetrations, equipment isolation pads, and general mechanical sealing applications. The stock 12 x 12 inch format allows straightforward field fabrication with standard cutting tools. The material performs across a wide service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 240 degrees F, making it appropriate for outdoor installations and moderate-heat environments.
Designed as a general-purpose EPDM elastomer sheet for field-fabricated gaskets, seals, pads, and liners in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical service applications where EPDM compound compatibility with the process media has been confirmed.
Cutting should be performed with a sharp utility knife, die cutter, or hole saw appropriate to the gasket geometry required. Verify that EPDM is chemically compatible with the fluids or media being sealed before installation, as EPDM is not suitable for petroleum-based oils or fuels. Shut off and depressurize any system before replacing or installing gaskets fabricated from this sheet. Follow applicable mechanical codes for the trade and system type involved.
