The UPONOR Q4752215 is a reducing tee fitting designed for use in ProPEX expansion-style piping systems. Manufactured from polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), this fitting connects two 2-inch runs while reducing the branch outlet to 1-1/2 inches nominal. The ProPEX end style requires an expansion tool and PEX rings to create a cold-expansion joint that tightens around the fitting as the pipe memory returns to its original diameter. Licensed plumbers and hydronic system installers use this fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution, radiant heating supply and return headers, and recirculation manifold branches.
This reducing tee is suited for potable water distribution, hydronic heating piping, and plumbing rough-in applications where a main run must feed a reduced-size branch. The ProPEX connection method is compatible with PEX-a tubing and requires the appropriate expansion rings and expansion tool sized to each port. The 2-inch by 2-inch by 1-1/2-inch configuration is commonly used at header branch points where a smaller secondary line taps off a larger primary distribution line.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for ProPEX expansion-style PEX-a plumbing and hydronic piping systems requiring a 2 x 2 x 1-1/2 inch nominal reducing tee connection.
Installation requires a licensed plumber and a calibrated ProPEX expansion tool along with correctly sized expansion rings for each port. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting into any existing line. Follow IPC and local plumbing code requirements for support spacing and pressure testing of PEX systems. Do not use compression or crimp fittings in place of the required ProPEX expansion rings on this fitting.
