The UPONOR Q2261050 is a 6-port branch tee designed for ProPEX expansion-style PEX piping systems. Manufactured from polysulfone, this fitting provides a central distribution point for splitting a 1-inch main line into multiple branch runs. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters in residential and light commercial hydronic or potable water distribution systems. The ProPEX connection method requires an expansion tool to flare the PEX tubing before the fitting ring is seated, creating a reliable, leak-resistant joint without solvents or open flame.
This branch tee is suited for manifold-style plumbing layouts where a single supply line feeds several fixture or zone branches from one central fitting. The 6-port configuration reduces the need for multiple inline tees and simplifies trunk-and-branch or home-run distribution designs. Its polysulfone construction is rated for use in domestic potable water applications, making it appropriate for residential hot and cold water supply systems.
Designed for use with 1-inch ProPEX expansion-style PEX tubing in domestic potable water distribution systems. Compatible with the UPONOR ProPEX system where polysulfone fittings are specified.
Installation requires a calibrated ProPEX expansion tool sized for 1-inch tubing along with the appropriate PEX expansion rings. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting into any existing lines. Work should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the applicable IPC or UPC requirements. Allow expanded connections to recover fully before pressurizing the system.
