The UPONOR 20128A is a 1-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) blue PEX-A tubing supplied in a 100-foot roll. PEX-A is manufactured using the Engel peroxide method, which produces a highly cross-linked polyethylene with superior flexibility and shape memory compared to PEX-B and PEX-C. The blue color designation indicates cold-water service lines. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this tubing in potable water distribution, hydronic heating, and radiant systems where a flexible, freeze-damage-resistant pipe is required.
This tubing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications including domestic cold-water supply runs, manifold-based home-run distribution systems, and underground or in-slab installations where flexibility and bend radius are critical. The 100-foot roll length reduces field splices on longer runs and works with standard PEX-A expansion-style fittings and clamp or cinch fittings sized for 1-inch CTS.
Designed for use with 1-inch CTS PEX-A expansion fittings and standard 1-inch PEX clamp or cinch fittings in residential and commercial potable cold-water and hydronic piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM F876/F877 standards. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. Use only fittings and tools rated for PEX-A tubing at the specified pipe size; do not mix fitting systems across a single run. Maintain minimum bend radius requirements per the manufacturer guidelines to avoid stress concentrations at elbows.
