The UNIWELD RP3T3 is a compact hand torch designed for soft soldering and silver brazing in confined or hard-to-reach spaces. It ships with a UT3 triple twister tip that uses swirl combustion technology to generate a high-efficiency flame from propane or MAP/Pro (propylene) fuel. The included RP3E Unitorch Regulator features an internal piston design and a swivel elbow for consistent fuel delivery and precise flame control. At 0.91 pounds, the torch is light enough for extended single-hand use during residential and light commercial plumbing work.
The RP3T3 is suited for licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians performing copper tubing connections in tight mechanical spaces, wall cavities, and equipment closets. When run on propane, it handles soft solder on tubing up to 4 inches and silver braze on tubing up to 2.5 inches. Switching to MAP/Pro extends those capacities to 6 inches for soft solder and 4 inches for silver braze, making it a versatile choice for a wider range of connection sizes without changing torch bodies.
Designed for use with standard propane and MAP/Pro (propylene) fuel cylinders. Accepts the included UT3 triple twister tip. Suitable for soft soldering and silver brazing applications on copper tubing within the stated capacity ranges.
This torch is typically used by licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians working under applicable mechanical and plumbing codes. Always shut off and depressurize the fuel cylinder before connecting or disconnecting the regulator. Work in a ventilated area and keep flammable materials clear of the work zone. Inspect the regulator o-rings and tip for wear before each use.
