The UEI TEST INSTRUMENTS UEI-ATT29A is a standard K-type temperature probe designed for field temperature measurement in HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. The probe features a fluoroplastic (Teflon-style) coating on a 4-foot lead, providing resistance to oils, refrigerants, and common shop chemicals encountered during service work. With a measurement range of -40 to 950 degrees F (-40 to 510 degrees C), it covers the full span of temperatures found in combustion analysis, duct surveys, refrigeration diagnosis, and heat exchanger inspection. HVAC technicians and refrigeration service professionals are the primary users of this probe.
This probe is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC service calls where a technician needs accurate surface or immersion temperature readings. Common applications include supply and return air temperature measurement, heat exchanger flue gas temperature checks, refrigerant line temperature sampling, and general diagnostic work on heating and cooling equipment. The 4-foot lead length provides enough reach for most air handler and furnace cabinet measurements without an extension.
Designed for use with K-type thermocouple meter inputs; compatible with test instruments that accept a standard K-type probe connector.
This probe is used by HVAC technicians and refrigeration service professionals during live diagnostic work. Ensure the connected test meter is rated for K-type thermocouple input before use. When taking measurements near combustion equipment or high-voltage components, follow all applicable NFPA and NEC safety practices. Do not exceed the rated temperature range of the probe, and avoid sharp bends in the lead that could damage the fluoroplastic coating.
