The UEI TEST INSTRUMENTS C163 is a residential and commercial combustion analyzer designed for HVAC technicians who install and service furnaces and boilers. The unit measures CO, CO2, differential pressure, flue temperature, and inlet temperature directly, then calculates differential temperature, net and gross efficiency, and excess air. A large 6-line backlit display and DMM-style interface keep the workflow fast. Rechargeable batteries and a built-in water trap indicator support extended field use. Wireless connectivity allows data output to a compatible app, and the optional printer adds hard-copy reporting on the job.
The C163 is built for residential and light commercial HVAC service work, covering gas furnace and boiler combustion analysis in a single handheld device. High-altitude compensation and low-flow detection expand the range of jobs this analyzer handles without additional equipment. A NOx-filtered CO sensor and over-range pump protection extend sensor life during high-concentration flue sampling. Licensed HVAC technicians and combustion service specialists are the primary installers and operators of this instrument.
Designed for combustion analysis on residential and commercial gas furnaces and boilers. Wireless app and optional printer accessories are sold separately. Refer to UEI TEST INSTRUMENTS documentation for specific app compatibility and supported printer models.
This instrument is operated by licensed HVAC or combustion service technicians. Always shut down the appliance and allow flue temperatures to stabilize before inserting or removing the probe. Follow applicable local codes and manufacturer guidelines when sampling flue gases on gas-fired equipment. Inspect the particle filter and water trap before each use and replace consumables per the manufacturer service schedule to maintain accurate readings.
