The UEI TEST INSTRUMENTS abp3 is a set of threaded back probes designed to attach to the end of standard test leads. Used for checking current flow at the back of Molex connectors without disconnecting the circuit, these probes are safety rated at CAT IV 600 volts and 10 amps, and carry cETLus listing. The probe tips measure 1.25 mm in diameter and 48 mm in length. Color-coded positive and negative probes allow for quick polarity identification, and protective caps are included to preserve tip sharpness during storage and transport.
These back probes are intended for use with clamp meters and standard test lead sets in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical diagnostics. They are well suited for HVAC technicians, electricians, and field service professionals who need to verify current flow or voltage at multi-pin connectors without disturbing wiring harnesses. The abp3 is specifically referenced for use with the DL589 and DL599 clamp meters.
Designed for use with the UEI TEST INSTRUMENTS DL589 and DL599 clamp meters, and compatible with standard test leads that accept threaded back probe attachments.
These back probes are installed by electricians and HVAC technicians performing live-circuit diagnostics. Always verify that the probes are securely threaded onto the test leads before making contact with any live circuit. Ensure the CAT rating of all test equipment in the circuit matches or exceeds the voltage and category level of the application. Follow applicable NFPA 70E and local electrical safety codes when working on energized equipment.
