The UBIQUITI UACC-READER-PRO-JB-B is a tamper-resistant junction box designed to protect access control reader wiring and back-box connections in commercial and light-industrial security installations. Built to deter unauthorized access to the wiring cavity behind card readers and credential devices, this enclosure provides a hardened mounting surface that reduces vulnerability at the wall-entry point. It is intended for use with compatible Ubiquiti access reader hardware and is installed by licensed low-voltage or security system technicians as part of a structured access control deployment.
This junction box is suited for commercial office environments, multi-tenant buildings, and facilities requiring physical security at every layer of the access control system. It mounts behind the reader at the rough-in stage, concealing and protecting the cable home-run before the reader is surface-mounted over it. Installations governed by IBC or local security codes that require tamper-evident hardware will find this enclosure appropriate for those requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style junction box for use with Ubiquiti access control reader hardware in commercial access control system deployments.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security system technician familiar with access control rough-in practices. De-energize the access control panel and any associated door hardware circuits before beginning work. Secure all low-voltage cabling in accordance with NEC Article 725 requirements for Class 2 and Class 3 wiring. Mount the junction box at rough-in prior to drywall finish so the reader can be surface-mounted over it at final trim-out.
