The UBIQUITI UACC-ETH-SP-DIN is a DIN rail-mounted Ethernet surge protector designed to safeguard network equipment from voltage transients and electrical surges on data lines. It installs inline on an Ethernet run between network hardware and the distribution panel, blocking damaging surge energy before it reaches switches, access points, or other connected devices. Network installers and low-voltage technicians deploy this unit in commercial and enterprise environments where DIN rail enclosures are standard. Its form factor integrates cleanly into structured wiring cabinets and industrial control panels.
This surge protector is suited for enterprise powerline Ethernet installations where equipment protection is required at the panel level. Typical applications include indoor network distribution points, server room patch panels, and any installation where Ethernet cabling is exposed to induced transient voltages from nearby power infrastructure. It is sold as an individual unit and is appropriate for new installations as well as retrofit protection upgrades in existing network infrastructure.
Designed as an OEM-style surge protection accessory for use in enterprise Ethernet network installations. Compatible with standard DIN rail mounting systems found in network and electrical distribution enclosures.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or network technician familiar with structured cabling standards and NEC guidelines for data circuit protection. Power down or disconnect all connected network equipment before installing or removing the unit from the DIN rail. Ensure the DIN rail enclosure is properly grounded before mounting the protector, as ground continuity is critical to surge protection performance. Do not install this device outdoors or in locations exceeding its rated environmental conditions.
