The UBIQUITI u7-pro-xgs is a ceiling-mounted WiFi 7 access point built for high-density wireless deployments in commercial and enterprise environments. It supports 8 spatial streams across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, delivering broad channel flexibility and high aggregate throughput. A dedicated spectral scanning radio performs real-time spectral analysis to assist with channel selection and interference identification. The unit is powered via PoE++ and connects to the network through a 10 GbE uplink port, making it suited for backbone integration in demanding infrastructure builds. Licensed network technicians and IT infrastructure contractors are the primary installers.
The u7-pro-xgs is designed for ceiling-mount installation in commercial office spaces, schools, hospitality venues, warehouses, and other high-density environments. It supports 500 or more simultaneously connected devices and provides approximately 1,750 square feet of coverage per unit. The 6 GHz band support expands usable spectrum in congested RF environments. The 10 GbE uplink accommodates aggregated throughput from all radios without creating a wired bottleneck. Regional 6 GHz operation availability is country-dependent and should be confirmed prior to deployment.
Designed as an OEM-style ceiling-mount access point for use in managed WiFi 7 wireless infrastructure deployments requiring a PoE++ power source and 10 GbE switching uplink.
Installation is typically performed by licensed network technicians or low-voltage contractors. Before servicing or remounting the unit, disconnect PoE++ power at the switch port to de-energize the device. Verify that the upstream switch or injector is rated for PoE++ output at the required wattage before connecting. Local electrical and structured cabling codes, including applicable BICSI and NEC low-voltage provisions, should be observed during installation.
