The TWECO 1420-1145 is a steel wound conduit liner designed for use with steel welding wire in MIG welding systems. It accommodates wire diameters from 0.030 to 0.035 inches and is rated for welding current from 180 to 250 amps. At 25 feet in length, this liner fits full-length MIG gun assemblies and provides smooth, consistent wire feed from the wire feeder through the gun neck. The steel wound construction resists kinking and maintains shape under the heat and mechanical stress typical in production and fabrication welding environments. Welding technicians and industrial maintenance professionals install this liner as a routine consumable replacement to maintain feed performance.
This liner is suited for MIG welding applications in both shop fabrication and light industrial settings where steel wire is the primary filler material. It is compatible with TWECO R44 and R45 series conduit liner applications, as well as PULSEMASTER and PullMaster MIG gun platforms. Typical installations involve carbon steel and mild steel wire in short-circuit, spray, or pulse transfer welding processes. Replacing liners on a scheduled basis reduces wire feed resistance and minimizes bird-nesting at the drive rolls or gun neck.
Designed for use with TWECO R44 and R45 series conduit liner applications and PULSEMASTER and PullMaster MIG guns. Intended for use with steel welding wire only.
Installation is performed by welding equipment technicians or maintenance personnel. Disconnect and de-energize the welder and wire feeder before removing or installing the liner. Feed the new liner through the gun cable from the feeder end, ensuring it seats fully at the gun neck connection. Trim the liner to the correct length per the gun manufacturer guidelines before securing end fittings.
