The TWECO 1360-1400 is a coarse-threaded nozzle insulator designed for use with Tweco No. 6 MIG welding guns rated up to 600 amps. The insulator fits between the nozzle and the contact tip holder, electrically isolating the nozzle to reduce spatter accumulation and protect internal gun components from heat and arc damage. Sold in a pack of two, this part is a consumable replacement item commonly stocked by welding shops and field service technicians who maintain high-amperage MIG gun assemblies. Keeping a serviceable insulator in place directly impacts weld quality and extends the usable life of the gun body.
This insulator is suited for heavy-duty MIG welding applications where Tweco No. 6 guns are in service. Typical environments include fabrication shops, structural steel work, and industrial manufacturing where continuous or high-duty-cycle welding is performed. The coarse thread design allows for quick nozzle changes during production runs, minimizing downtime. Each pack contains two insulators, supporting scheduled maintenance intervals or emergency replacements in the field.
Compatible with Tweco No. 6 MIG guns rated up to 600 amps. Designed as a direct OEM-style replacement insulator for this gun series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician or equipment maintenance professional. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source before servicing the gun assembly. Remove the nozzle, replace the worn insulator by hand-threading it onto the contact tip holder, and reinstall the nozzle snugly. Inspect the insulator for cracking or carbon tracking at each consumable change interval.
