The TWECO 1260-1607 is a self-insulated slip-on copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard gas diffusers in medium to heavy duty welding applications. Rated up to 450 amps, it features a 0.5 inch bore and measures 3.25 inches in length with a 0.875 inch outer diameter. The three-piece construction eliminates the need for a separate insulator, combining a nozzle housing formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a solid brass machined insert, and a G7 silicone insulator. The part number is roll-stamped on the exterior for fast identification during service. Sold as a pack of two.
This nozzle is suited for medium and heavy duty MIG welding operations where amperage demands reach up to 450 A. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it appropriate for higher heat applications requiring longer electrical stick-out, as well as tack, spot, and stitch welding scenarios where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. The slip-on design allows the nozzle to slide over the metal spring on the gas diffuser, making changeovers straightforward in production and field welding environments. Licensed welders and fabricators working with compatible Tweco-style front-end consumables will find the two-pack quantity practical for keeping spares on hand.
Designed for use with standard gas diffusers in Tweco-style MIG welding torch front-end assemblies. The EL24I nozzle is specified for the Tweco EL24 series diffuser configuration. Verify diffuser type and spring interface before installation.
Installation and replacement of MIG nozzles should be performed by a qualified welder or welding technician with the torch powered down and the wire feeder disabled. Slip the nozzle over the gas diffuser spring until fully seated before resuming operation. Inspect the nozzle insert and insulator for wear or spatter buildup at regular intervals, as degraded insulation can cause unintended arcing. Follow applicable AWS and equipment manufacturer guidelines for front-end consumable maintenance.
