The TWECO 1240-1875 is a heavy duty MIG welding nozzle built for the Velocity2a consumable system. It features a 0.75 inch bore and is designed to reduce thread-related failures common in standard MIG gun setups. Traditional MIG consumables use two or three thread interfaces. The Velocity platform cuts that down to one. That single thread interface pairs brass on the nozzle side against stainless steel on the gooseneck, so seizing and cross-threading are significantly reduced. The nozzle weighs 0.25 pounds and measures 2.25 inches in length. It is sold individually and installed by welders and fabricators working with MIG processes.
This nozzle is suited for heavy duty MIG welding applications where consistent nozzle-to-contact-tip flushness and ease of service matter. The design eliminates the need for tools during nozzle changes, reducing downtime at the gun. It fits into workflows where fast consumable swaps and reliable thread engagement are priorities, such as production welding, structural fabrication, and maintenance welding environments. The replaceable nozzle design keeps the harder stainless threads on the gooseneck protected while the softer brass threads on the nozzle absorb wear.
Designed for use with the TWECO Velocity2a heavy duty MIG gun system. Confirm gooseneck thread type before ordering to ensure proper fit within the Velocity consumable platform.
MIG gun nozzle replacement is typically performed by the welding operator or a maintenance technician. Power down the welder and allow the gun to cool completely before removing the spent nozzle. No tools are required for nozzle removal or installation in the Velocity system. Inspect the gooseneck threads for spatter buildup or damage before threading on the replacement nozzle.
