The TWECO 1240-1423 is a coarse-threaded copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard gas diffusers on medium to heavy duty MIG welding applications. Machined from solid 145 tellurium copper alloy bar stock, it delivers consistent dimensional stability and efficient heat dissipation at amperages up to 450 A. The bore measures 0.625 inches with an outer diameter of 1.07 inches and an overall length of 2.09 inches. The part number is roll-stamped on the outer surface for fast identification in the field. This is a two-piece nozzle design: the nozzle housing threads onto a separate nozzle insulator, which is sold separately.
This nozzle is suited for medium to heavy duty MIG welding environments where heat management and dimensional consistency are critical. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.468 inches makes it appropriate for higher heat applications requiring longer electrical stick-out, or in situations where the nozzle may contact the work piece, such as tack, spot, and stitch welding. Licensed welding professionals and maintenance welders working in fabrication, structural, or industrial settings are the primary installers. Sold as a pack of 2.
Designed for use with TWECO standard gas diffusers in medium to heavy duty MIG welding setups rated up to 450 A. Nozzle housing and nozzle insulator are sold separately and must be compatible with the coarse-thread two-piece nozzle system.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or welding technician. Always de-energize and power down the welding machine before replacing front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle insulator onto the conductor tube first, then thread the nozzle housing onto the insulator — do not overtighten by impact. Inspect the contact tip recess relationship after assembly to confirm proper stick-out for the intended welding process.
