The TWECO 1240-1414 is a coarse-threaded copper MIG welding nozzle engineered for standard gas diffuser applications in medium to heavy duty welding environments. Machined from solid 145 tellurium copper alloy bar stock, the nozzle delivers consistent dimensional stability and efficient heat dissipation at currents up to 450 amps. The two-piece design features a nozzle housing that threads onto a separate nozzle insulator. The bore measures 0.5 inches with an outer diameter of 1.07 inches and an overall length of 1.75 inches. The part number is roll-stamped on the outer surface for quick field identification. Sold in a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for medium to heavy duty MIG welding applications requiring a recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches. That recess geometry is well matched to higher heat applications where longer electrical stick-out is needed, or in situations where the nozzle may contact the work piece, such as tack, spot, and stitch welding. The coarse thread mount mates with a standard gas diffuser. The nozzle housing and nozzle insulator are sold separately and must be ordered independently.
Designed for use with standard gas diffusers in MIG welding torch assemblies requiring a coarse-threaded copper nozzle. Nozzle housing and nozzle insulator are sold separately.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source before servicing front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle housing onto the nozzle insulator by hand until seated; do not overtighten, as this can damage the insulator threads. Inspect the contact tip recess relationship after assembly to confirm proper stick-out for the intended welding process.
