The TWECO 1240-1316 is a 3-piece robotic MIG welding nozzle designed for use with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns. It handles medium- to heavy-duty welding applications rated up to 600 amps and is built specifically for installations where a shorter electrical stick-out is required. The nozzle housing is machined from tellurium copper alloy bar for effective heat dissipation. The insert is machined from solid brass with internal threads matched to the gas diffuser. A G7 silicone insulator provides electrical isolation from the gas diffuser, eliminating the need for an additional insulator.
This nozzle is suited for robotic weld cells running continuous or high-cycle MIG processes in medium- to heavy-duty production environments. Its flush tip configuration places the contact tip closer to the work piece, making it appropriate for shorter arc lengths and tighter electrical stick-out requirements. The bottle-shaped geometry and straight I.D. bore at the nozzle front are optimized for use with automated nozzle cleaning stations commonly integrated into robotic weld cells. The part number is roll-stamped on the outside surface for quick field identification.
Designed for use with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns requiring a REL24 nozzle configuration. Consult TWECO documentation to confirm fitment with specific gun models and gas diffuser thread patterns before installation.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified welding technician or automation maintenance technician. Shut down and de-energize the welding power source and robot before servicing front-end consumables. Thread engagement between the nozzle insert and gas diffuser should be confirmed snug and properly seated before resuming operation. Inspect the G7 silicone insulator for damage during each nozzle changeout to maintain proper electrical isolation.
