The TWECO 1230-1100 is a 23 Series self-insulated MIG welding nozzle built for heavy-duty applications up to 450 amps. It features a 3/8-inch (0.375-inch) bore and measures 3.219 inches in length with a 3/4-inch OD. The nozzle threads onto the conductor tube assembly via a 9/16-inch-18 UNC-2B thread and uses a recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches. Constructed from 122 DHP copper alloy, this is a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for a separate external insulator. It is sold in packs of 2 and is intended for installation by professional welders and MIG welding technicians in industrial and fabrication environments.
This nozzle is designed for use with standard gas diffusers in heavy-duty MIG welding setups rated up to 450 amps. The recessed contact tip configuration is appropriate for higher-heat applications where longer electrical stick-out is required, or where the nozzle may contact the work piece during tack, spot, or stitch welding. The thread-on design mates directly with the conductor tube OD threads, making it a suitable fit for 23 Series TWECO-style torch front-end assemblies used in demanding fabrication and production welding operations.
Designed as a thread-on replacement nozzle for TWECO 23 Series torch assemblies using a standard gas diffuser and conductor tube configuration rated for heavy-duty welding up to 450 amps.
Installation is performed by a qualified MIG welding technician. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source completely before replacing front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle onto the conductor tube assembly by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the UNC-2B threads. Inspect the nozzle insulator and insert for wear or damage at each consumable change interval.
