The TWECO 1110-1141 is a threaded MIG welding contact tip machined from copper alloy tubing. It delivers consistent current transfer from the MIG gun to the welding wire through a smooth, controlled inside diameter bore sized for 0.030-inch wire. The inside diameter tolerance is held to plus or minus 0.003 inches, ensuring reliable wire feed and stable arc performance. Each tip is marked with the part number and wire diameter for fast identification during gun maintenance. This tip is installed by welding technicians and fabricators working with MIG and wire-feed welding equipment.
The 1110-1141 is suited for MIG welding applications using 0.030-inch solid or flux-core wire. It threads into a compatible gas diffuser on standard MIG guns to maintain proper electrical contact and shielding gas flow. Typical use includes light-gauge steel fabrication, auto body repair, and general manufacturing environments where consistent wire-to-tip contact is critical to weld quality. The threaded design allows for quick tip changes during production without tools.
Designed as a threaded OEM-style contact tip for MIG guns that accept this tip thread pattern and are configured for 0.030-inch welding wire. Verify thread type and diffuser compatibility before installation.
Contact tips are installed and replaced by welding technicians as part of routine MIG gun maintenance. Power down the welding machine and allow the gun neck to cool before removing a spent tip. Thread the 1110-1141 into the gas diffuser by hand and snug firmly — do not overtighten, as copper alloy tips can gall or deform. Inspect the diffuser for spatter buildup before installing a new tip.
