The TWECO 1040-1115 is a Professional No. 4 Classic Series air-cooled MIG gun rated at 400 amps with a 60% duty cycle using CO2 gas. It accommodates wire sizes up to 1/16 inch and comes with a 25-foot lead cable featuring a Tweco-style rear connection and fully insulated Mig-Kwik connector for fast hookup and disconnection at the wire feeder. The oval-shaped handle with silver-plated trigger contacts is designed to reduce grip fatigue during extended use. A 60-degree metal jacket conductor tube swivels a full 360 degrees around the handle and uses a three-layer construction for durability and consistent current transfer to the contact tip. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and professional fabricators working in semi-automatic welding will find this gun field-repairable with standard hand tools.
The 1040-1115 is suited for medium- to heavy-duty fabrication in industrial, production, and maintenance and repair environments. Its 25-foot cable provides good wire feedability across a wide work area. The gun hanger at the bottom of the handle allows easy resting when not in use. The steel spring strain relief supports the Cablehoz exiting the rear of the handle to minimize wire feed issues. Two ball-point screws secure the Cablehoz and conductor tube in place. Applications include farm, garage, shop jobs, artistic metalworking, and general production welding.
Front-end consumables are interchangeable with the Tweco Spray Master series and Tweco Professional No. Series guns. Requires an adapter plug for wire feeder connection.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician or industrial maintenance professional. Power down and disconnect the wire feeder before attaching or detaching the Mig-Kwik connector. Verify that the wire feeder adapter plug is compatible before connecting. Inspect the Cablehoz and conductor tube seating after tightening the two ball-point screws to confirm secure contact before resuming welding operations.
