The TWECO 1030-1146 is a 300-amp, air-cooled MIG gun built for medium to heavy-duty fabrication work. It accepts wire diameters from 0.035 to 0.045 inches and features a three-layer conductor tube construction consisting of a copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket. The 15-foot power cable provides consistent wire feedability and uses a Lincoln style rear connection. Rated at 60% duty cycle with CO2 gas, this gun is designed for sustained production use in demanding industrial environments. A fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection allows the operator to connect or disconnect at the wire feeder without tools. Qualified welders and fabricators are the primary users of this equipment.
This MIG gun is suited for a wide range of applications including production welding, maintenance and repair, shop fabrication, and light industrial work. The standard 60-degree conductor tube swivels 360 degrees around the handle and can be removed and replaced rapidly without disturbing the conduit. The oval-shaped handle is balanced to pivot at the center, reducing operator fatigue across varied welding positions. A built-in gun hanger at the bottom of the handle allows convenient resting when the gun is not in use. The field-repairable split-half handle case provides easy access to the Cablehoz and internal components without additional connectors.
Designed for use with Lincoln style wire feeders. Front-end consumables are interchangeable with the Tweco Spray Master series and Tweco Professional No. Series, supporting lower inventory requirements across multiple gun platforms.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician or fabricator familiar with MIG welding equipment. Disconnect and de-energize the welder before connecting or swapping the gun at the wire feeder. Verify that the rear connection style matches the feeder receptacle before applying power. Follow the welding equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable workplace safety codes when routing the cable and securing connections.
