The TWECO 1030-1101 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun built for demanding production and maintenance welding environments. It accepts wire sizes from 0.035 to 0.045 inches and is rated at 300 amps with a 60 percent duty cycle using CO2 gas. The gun ships with a Miller-style rear connection and features a ball-and-socket articulating conductor tube constructed from three layers: a copper tube, silicon resin fiberglass insulator, and a metal jacket. Four trigger wires are included, and dual spring and rubber strain reliefs are installed on both ends of the cable. Licensed welding professionals and fabrication shop technicians are the primary installers.
This gun is suited for a wide range of welding scenarios including spray transfer and pulse welding modes using straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases. Typical applications include production welding, maintenance and repair, shop fabrication, agricultural equipment work, and artistic metalworking. The ergonomic handle is designed to reduce operator fatigue, and the extended trigger length limits radiated heat transfer to the welder's gloved hand during extended runs.
Designed for use with Miller-style rear connection wire feeders. Accepts standard consumables compatible with the TWECO Eliminator series MIG gun platform.
Installation and service should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with MIG gun assemblies. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source and wire feeder before replacing the gun, liner, or consumables. The split-half handle design allows field access to internal components without specialty tools. Follow the wire feeder manufacturer's guidelines and applicable ANSI/AWS safety standards when making rear connection attachments.
