The TUNGALOY 6822058 is an indexable chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. Built on a solid carbide body with a Weldon flat shank, this toolholder accepts a single XCET-style insert secured by screw clamp. It carries a 30-degree included angle and delivers a maximum depth of cut of 1.004 inches, making it suitable for consistent, repeatable chamfer profiles in production and job-shop environments. The ECC toolholder style and right-hand cutting direction are standard for this tool class. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC tooling specialists working with vertical or horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is built for chamfering applications across universal workpiece materials, covering ferrous metals, non-ferrous alloys, and cast materials as indicated by ISO material codes K, M, and P. It is a practical choice for shops that need a single chamfering tool capable of handling varied material types without swapping toolholders. The 5.119-inch overall length and 1-inch Weldon flat shank provide stable engagement in standard end mill holders. Cutting diameter range spans 1.338 inches to 1.575 inches, giving the operator a usable chamfer window across that range.
Compatible insert size code is XCET3104. Toolholder style is ECC. Designed for use with XCET-style indexable inserts in standard ECC-series chamfer end mill bodies per ISO standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully de-energized and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state per facility safety procedures. Secure the Weldon flat shank firmly in the tool holder using the appropriate set screw torqued per the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify insert seating and screw clamp engagement before returning the spindle to service. Do not exceed the 3000 RPM maximum under any cutting condition.
